Screening Consultation Video call
Get clarity on whether your symptoms suggest ADHD or something else entirely.
Service Description
Screening Consultation – Adult or Child (Video Call) If you're unsure whether the difficulties you or your child are experiencing are related to ADHD or something else, our Screening Consultation offers clear, professional guidance without committing to a full assessment. This session is ideal for adults who feel overwhelmed, unsure, or confused about their symptoms — and for parents who want clarity about their child’s presentation before taking the next step. Many people come to us experiencing challenges with attention, organisation, emotional regulation, sensory needs, masking, anxiety, or behaviour, but are not certain what the underlying cause may be. This consultation helps you understand what’s going on and what to do next. You will meet with Frank, our lead clinician and a Mental Health Nurse with over 20 years of NHS and neurodevelopmental experience. The consultation is friendly, down-to-earth, and completely judgement-free. It is designed to gently explore your concerns, look at patterns, discuss day-to-day difficulties, and consider whether ADHD, autism traits, trauma, anxiety, sensory issues, or executive functioning challenges may be contributing. What this consultation includes: • A 30–45 minute video call with an experienced neurodevelopmental clinician • Exploration of key symptoms, behaviours, and daily functioning • Discussion of history and patterns over time • Consideration of masking, burnout, trauma, anxiety, or sensory needs • Clear guidance on whether a full ADHD assessment is recommended • Advice on other possible causes of difficulties • Written summary with recommendations and next steps • Signposting to useful services, support, or strategies • £5 discount off a full assessment if recommended This consultation is particularly helpful if you: • Are unsure whether what you're experiencing is ADHD • Feel your child may be struggling but aren't ready for a full assessment • Have received mixed messages from school, GP, or other professionals • Want a clinical opinion before investing in a full diagnostic pathway • Believe your difficulties could be a mix of ADHD, autism traits, trauma, anxiety or sensory issues We are honest and ethical. If we do not believe ADHD is likely, we will tell you — and guide you toward more appropriate support. If ADHD is likely, we explain the assessment process clearly and help you feel confident in taking the next step.
