Service Description

Sensory Screening Assessment – Sensory Profile 2 Does your child find everyday sounds, clothing textures, busy environments or certain foods difficult to manage? Perhaps they seek lots of movement, struggle with personal care routines or become overwhelmed by sensory experiences. Our sensory screening assessment, delivered by Charlotte, Occupational Therapist, using Sensory Profile 2, helps explore your child’s sensory processing patterns and how these may affect everyday life at home, at school and in the community. Understanding your child’s sensory needs Sensory Profile 2 is a standardised questionnaire completed by a parent or guardian, with school information included where appropriate and agreed with you. It helps identify your child’s sensory strengths and challenges, including experiences they may seek out, avoid, notice intensely or sometimes miss. The questionnaire findings are considered alongside a discussion about your child’s daily routines and the activities they find difficult. The aim is to build a clearer understanding of their needs and identify practical, personalised ways to support their comfort and participation. Support that fits everyday life Understanding your child’s sensory profile can help guide adjustments to routines, activities and environments. Recommendations may include ways to make daily tasks more manageable, support participation in school and help your child feel more comfortable in situations they find overwhelming. Video and face-to-face appointments available Appointments are available by video or face to face, giving families flexibility in how they access support. Both options cost £95 and are delivered by Charlotte. Please select your preferred appointment format. Booking and consent During booking, please provide parent or guardian contact details, your child’s details, the main areas you would like support with and a signed consent form. The Sensory Profile 2 questionnaire is separate from the booking form; Charlotte will arrange the appropriate questionnaire with you. This is sensory screening, not an ADHD or autism diagnostic assessment. The questionnaire must be suitable for your child’s age. Please contact us before booking for a young person aged 15 or over. For questions, email occupationaltherapy@uk-adhd.com or call 01302 203344. This booking is for a face-to-face appointment at Gresley House, Ten Pound Walk, Doncaster, DN4 5HX.
